Hair Transplant or Hair Restoration
Hair transplant costs LESS!
Hair transplant is the surgical method of hair restoration. For patients with significant hair loss, it is the only proven way to restore hair growth to areas that have gone bald. Recent advancements have made hair transplant surgery much easier to tolerate while offering a quicker recovery time. Two types of hair transplant methods currently exist Follicular Unit Transplant (FUT) and Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE).
FUT vs. FUE
Remarkable results of latest FUE technology achieving successful mega sessions of above 3500 grafts.
FUT Hair Restoration involves surgically cutting a strip of skin from the scalp, often an area in the back of the head. Small sections of tissue with hair follicles are separated from this skin and individually placed into thinning or balding areas. This surgery can take hours and has a longer recovery time. It creates a noticeable scar along the back of the head where the cut in the scalp has been pulled and sutured.
The FUE Hair Restoration technique improves upon the FUT method. Like FUT, it involves harvesting hair follicles from a donor site at the rear of the top and moving them to thin or bald areas. However, FUE doesn’t require a strip of tissue to be cut from the scalp. Instead, individual hair follicles are taken directly from the scalp and inserted into the recipient sites. The FUE method is minimally invasive and eliminates the long scar and significant wound related to FUT restoration.
Hair Transplant Over Hair Implants
Hair transplant uses your own hair and hence gets merged with your existing hair.
Hair implants use synthetic hair and involve cutting synthetic fibres implanted in your scalp hence it will not grow like natural hair. A hair implant is often compared to a wig that has been fixed onto your scalp. Thus, if you undergo this procedure to deal with thinning hair, you’ll need to accept an equivalent hairstyle for quite a while.
Hair transplants will grow and fall just like the remainder of your hair. Also if a hair follicle has been transplanted falls, it can re-grow.
But if a hair implant strand fails, it needs to be replaced with another synthetic follicle. Thus the chances of the need to follow up surgeries are higher.
For Hair Implant, the chances of your body rejecting a synthetic fibre are much higher than the chances of your body rejecting a hair follicle transplant. Thus, the probabilities of infections are higher with hair implants.
Hair implants may give you instant results while Hair transplant can take up to 8 months for the results to be visible. However, the hair follicles can also temporarily fall from the hair transplant.
A hair transplant is PREFERRED OVER a hair implant! However, before taking any decision between these two, it is still recommended to consult your doctor and see which form of treatment is more suitable for you.
Why do you wait and What Stops you Further??
The longer you wait, the costlier it becomes. As more hair tends to die off permanently, it is only logical that a larger number of hair needs to be transplanted to cover your bald/thinning areas.
